City of Gold Coast’s One-off Defibrillator Grant Program.

This funding has enabled us to purchase and install a fully automatic AED and associated safety equipment to strengthen emergency readiness within our community space.

At Fierce Females, we deliver physically active boxing and self-protection programs for women, girls, young people, and community groups across the Gold Coast. Participant safety and well-being are always a priority, and the addition of an AED significantly enhances our ability to respond quickly in the event of a medical emergency.

Our studio is used by hundreds of participants each year and is located within a busy community precinct. The AED will not only support the safety of our participants, volunteers, and staff, but may also assist members of the wider community in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest nearby.

We would like to sincerely thank the City of Gold Coast for supporting community organisations through initiatives such as the One-off Defibrillator Grant Program. This investment helps strengthen community safety and ensures local organisations are better equipped to respond in emergencies.
