About Us

Fierce Females is a registered charity and non for profit organisation that offers genuinely holistic self-defence programs, workshops, and one-on-one sessions. All of these utilise our multi-modal approach (blending psychology and conflict resolution with hands-on mixed martial arts techniques), creating an experience like no other.

Created by women,

for women!

Our founder Amanda Giblin partnered with Dr Sharon Mackenzie to build a program that offers a holistic solution to violence against women.

Our Person-Centred Approach To Self Empowerment & Defence

We understand how vulnerable it can feel learning new things in a new space. Hence our stringent policy of female trainers for female clients, and vice versa. Moreover, we know exactly how it feels to be the (sometimes) physically smaller or (sometimes) physically weaker individual in conflict.

A practical self-defence solution is more than just "punching and kicking". Because what you do before, during, and after the incident dramatically affects the outcome. Physical violence follows definitive patterns and cycles; understanding these allow you to plan, prepare and act in the face of fear and danger.

Our person-centred approach allows us to customise our content to suit our client's specific situations, experience levels and desired outcomes. As a result, we ensure our clients learn how to react and respond to conflicts of all varieties.

Our Vision

We see a world where everyone has the knowledge and tools to write their own story and live a life free from violence.

At Fierce Females, we:

  • Are always hope-focused, person-centred and multi-modal.

  • Equip individuals to unlock a life free of violence by providing them with knowledge, and physical and emotional tools.

  • Find ways towards self-determination and reliance, regardless of the barriers in front of us.

  • Make purposeful and courageous choices in the face of fear.

  • Strive for all the ways to foster resilience.

  • Ensure we act protectively of ourselves and others.

  • Act ethically and integrally, even when no one is watching.

  • Act and speak, even when it feels easier to be silent.
