Box & Bloom Trainer
WHO WE ARE
Fierce Females is a women-led charity based on the Gold Coast, focused on violence prevention and protection. We work with females and female-identifying individuals in a trauma-informed capacity to build strength, resilience, courage, and hope.
We stand by what it means to be FIERCE:
F – Fearless: not the absence of fear, but embracing and overcoming it.
I – Independent: self-agency and self-determination to be and embrace yourself.
E – Ethical: striving to act in ways that avoid harm to others and ourselves.
R – Resilience: the ability to withstand and bounce back from adversity.
C – Courageous: acting in alignment with your values and beliefs despite challenges.
E – Empowered: the result when all these elements come together.
We are seeking a trainer who genuinely lives these values and is ready to share our message, support women in achieving their goals, and help them live a life free from violence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking female-only boxing trainers to deliver our Box and Bloom program at our Gold Coast studio.
Box and Bloom is a new Fierce Females initiative offering practical boxing and fitness classes designed specifically for women. The program focuses on safe boxing techniques and drills that build physical strength, fitness, well-being, a sense of community, and confidence.
We’re looking for trainers with experience working with beginners and a strong understanding of technique and its relationship to anatomy and physiology. You’ll deliver clear, adaptable instructions and corrections that cater to different learning styles — all within a positive, encouraging, and hope-filled environment.
This is a casual position with set weekly hours and requires availability on Tuesday evenings from 6–7 pm, with the possibility of additional shifts as the program expands.
TRAINERS WILL:
Deliver classes in line with the Box and Bloom curriculum and coaching style (training provided).
Ensure all participants feel included, supported, and safe.
Manage group dynamics and provide individual feedback and corrections as needed.
Set up and pack down the venue and equipment before and after each class.
Complete a short session report after each session, summarising wins, strengths, improvements, and any challenges.
Follow all Fierce Studio procedures for class preparation, safety, incidents, post-class administration, and professional conduct, including adherence to the Box and Bloom curriculum and Team Fierce direction.
A receptionist will be available during classes to assist with scheduling, participant disclosures, behaviour management, and incident support.
SELECTION CRITERIA / SKILLS REQUIRED
It is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by a female or female-identifying individual, as permitted under Sections 25, 104, and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
Essential Skills and Experience:
Strong understanding of boxing techniques and practical experience coaching individuals of varying ages and abilities.
Experience working with beginners and adjusting coaching to different learning needs.
Ability to motivate, support, and encourage participants in an inclusive environment.
Commitment to teaching correct technique and providing kind, constructive feedback.
Warmth, approachability, and positivity to foster an inviting and motivating environment while serving as a role model for participants.
Capacity to follow the Box and Bloom curriculum while ensuring a safe and empowering class experience.
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
